Proudly supporting the memorial tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II

Elite Surfacing and Installation Ltd, Northamptonshire based resin and garden landscaping company, has recently made waves with its involvement in the creation of a monumental tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II. The unveiling of the 7ft (2.1m) bronze statue in Oakham, Rutland, marked a significant moment in history, drawing over a thousand people to witness the event on April 21st, the late Queen’s birthday.

The statue, a masterpiece sculpted by the talented Hywel Pratley, captures the essence of Her Late Majesty in mid-life, adorned in regal attire. What sets this tribute apart is its poignant inclusion of three corgis, the Queen’s beloved companions.

Elite Surfacing and Installation Ltd played a pivotal role in ensuring the statue’s grandeur by providing the surfacing and resin surfaces that form the foundation of this majestic tribute. With their expertise and dedication to quality craftsmanship, they contributed to the seamless integration of the statue into its surroundings, enhancing its visual appeal and longevity. It was a honour to be part of this project and first memorial of the Queen.

The significance of this memorial extends beyond its artistic beauty. Funded largely by donations from businesses and members of the public, amounting to £125,000, it stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Queen Elizabeth II.

The unveiling ceremony, graced by dignitaries such as Lord-Lieutenant Dr. Sarah Furness, The Rt Rev Debbie Sellin, and MP Alicia Kearns, was a poignant reminder of the Queen’s profound impact on the nation. Amidst the gathering of over 40 corgis, paying homage to their royal inspiration, and the flurry of ‘selfies’ capturing moments with the bronze corgis, the atmosphere was one of reverence and celebration.

In collaboration with Elite Surfacing and Installation Ltd, the creation of this monumental statue stands as a testament of the legacy left. We were honoured to be part of this project and welcome further businesses to reach out if we can support your ceremonies and memorials.
